Amaringo began in Brisbane as a minimalist two piece with Nathan Kearney & Allie Wu Lin in 2015. Together they made Imagined or Real. An endless skyline of dusky golden light over Moreton Bay that's where this record lives. I always admire when bands can work imagery of their city into songs. This is especially nice when it comes to the areas in and around Meanjin, a place we hear far too little of.
